Contract Scotland are delighted to be working with a respected contractor who specialise in fit-out and refurbishment projects across a wide range of sectors. With a reputation for quality and innovation, they’re committed to investing in new talent and offering the right individual a supportive, hands-on learning environment.

What the role involves:

Working closely with the commercial, pre-construction, and project delivery teams.

Learning how to produce accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders.

Gaining exposure to the full bid process, from take-offs and pricing to client submission.

Building an understanding of subcontractor and supplier relationships.

Developing your skills with the guidance of experienced estimators and senior management.

What we’re looking for:

Ideally, someone with a background in architecture, design, or construction (e.g. an Architectural Technician looking for a career change).

Strong numeracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.

A keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.

Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

A genuine interest in pursuing a career in estimating and commercial management.

What’s in it for you:

A structured training programme with ongoing mentorship.

The chance to join a highly skilled and collaborative team.

Exposure to a variety of exciting projects.

Long-term career progression opportunities within a growing business.

With a current industry-wide shortage of estimators, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-demand profession and make a real impact.

If you’re ambitious, eager to learn, and ready to take your career in a new direction, we’d love to hear from you.
