Quantity Surveyor – £80,000 – £100,000
Location: Stansted, Essex
Hours: 8am – 5pm

Manchester Staff is currently looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established client delivering a £20m refurbishment project at Stansted Airport. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager and play a key role in the commercial management of the scheme, from cost planning to change management.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a Tier A client project at tender stage, gaining full lifecycle experience on a high-profile airport programme that includes enabling works, MEP packages, and fit-out.

Job Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for developing cost plans, managing activity schedules, overseeing payment applications, and liaising with both clients and subcontractors. You will handle day-to-day commercial activities across multiple jobs (2–3 at any time) and support the successful delivery of projects from pre-contract through to completion.

Skills/Experience Required:

Essential

* 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor

* Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract experience

* Full lifecycle project knowledge from pre-construction to final account

* Solid understanding of commercial law and change management

* Experience preparing and managing cost plans

* Excellent client-facing skills and ability to work across multiple projects

* Fit-out project experience (commercial/aviation/complex environments)

* Clean 5-year work history and no criminal record

Desirable

* Airport project experience

* Rail, Oil & Gas, or Nuclear background also considered

* CMAR (Construction Management at Risk) awareness

* Tier A client exposure

* Hungry to progress with a proactive, career-driven mindset

Package & Benefits:

* £80,000 – £100,000 annual salary
