Contracts Manager
My client is a long established, leading, National Civil Engineering Contractor.
Due to planned growth and an influx of work in their Eastern Region, they are looking to appoint, on a permanent basis, a Contracts Manager to work on Civil Engineering Projects in the Norfolk area.

Key Responsibilities
Main duties and responsibilities will include:

* Leading and promoting the company in the region.
* Client engagement, business development and work winning.
* Managing projects to ensure compliance and to achieve financial, safety, quality and environmental targets.
* Creating contract plans, safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and taking the responsibility for the safe delivery of projects.
* Undertaking planning, programming and resourcing of assigned contracts.
* Managing relationships through liaising, negotiating, and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, sub-contractors etc.
* Promoting and encouraging innovation and value.
* Motivating, coaching, encouraging, supporting and providing guidance to both staff and operatives.
* Contributing to our upcoming health and safety mission by ensuring company SHEQ, and all other procedures are followed.
* Supporting and contributing to our sustainability and social value goals.
* Assisting and promoting our mission of providing a safe and caring workplace.
* Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
* Understand and administer contract change.
* Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary.
* Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
* Promote and ensure all work complies with safety, quality and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures.
Already experienced as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND/ HNC/ BEng) or equivalent, an up-to-date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. A First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
You will also have experience of managing civil engineering projects with a main contractor including Highways works, Earthworks and Structures.
Experienced in people management and motivation of staff.
A good organiser, both of self and others with the ability to think in advance.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be happy to travel throughout the region. A First Aid at Work qualification would also be desirable.
Requirements:
A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant subject matter
Extensive experience from an Engineer upwards of Civil Engineering Projects
The ideal candidate will have experience of working on Marine Civils Projects or Environment Agency Works, although this is by no means essential.
