Salary: £85,000+ (dependent on experience)

An established and growing independent construction and property consultancy is seeking a Lead Quantity Surveyor to join and expand their Cost Management team, with a particular focus on high-end hotels and hospitality projects. This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially astute professional to lead, oversee, and grow a team while delivering prestigious, complex projects across the UK.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Cost Management team, providing mentorship and development to junior and senior QS staff.
Oversee the delivery of cost management services on high-end hospitality and hotel projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
Provide strategic commercial advice, including risk management, procurement strategies, and value engineering.
Prepare and review detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts at all project stages.
Manage pre- and post-contract financial reporting, including variation and claim management.
Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial matters.
Support business growth by identifying new opportunities within the hospitality sector and contributing to the development of the company's Cost Management services.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, contractual obligations, and professional best practice.

Candidate Requirements:

MRICS qualification (preferred)
Proven experience in leading and managing cost management teams
Extensive experience in high-end hospitality, hotel, or luxury residential projects
Strong pre- and post-contract knowledge on projects of significant value
Background within a UK-based construction consultancy
Ability to provide robust commercial, procurement, and strategy advice
Leadership experience, with a track record of mentoring and developing junior QS staff
