Our client is a high-quality, award-winning Tier 2 main contractor with a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across education, healthcare, defence, and commercial sectors. With a growing portfolio of work in the West Midlands and Derbyshire, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their collaborative and forward-thinking commercial team.

Based out of their Nottingham head office, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of multi-million-pound schemes, supporting senior surveyors and project managers across a range of high-spec builds.

Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing and submitting accurate cost estimates and tender documents

*

Conduct site measurements and valuations

*

Support subcontractor account management and payment applications

*

Monitor budgets and implement cost control procedures

*

Prepare interim and final valuations

*

Assist with procurement and issuing of subcontractor orders

*

Maintain records of variations and change control

*

Liaise with site teams for reporting and forecasting

*

Contribute to monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs)

*

Support the preparation of final accounts

Requirements:

*

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction

*

Strong understanding of commercial processes and contract administration

*

Excellent communication and analytical skills

*

Degree or HNC/D in Quantity Surveying or related discipline preferred
