Location: Sutton, Surrey (covering London, Greater London and South of England)

Our client, established in 2003, provides specialist Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) service support to the commercial building maintenance sector. With a dedicated team of highly skilled mobile engineers, they deliver professional and reliable solutions across London, Greater London, and the South of England.
They are now seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This is a varied role, involving planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, inspections, and small installation works across commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance and corrective works on mechanical plant and associated equipment in accordance with industry standards (e.g., FSG20).
* Work within plant rooms, assisting with multi-skilled engineering tasks across mechanical systems.
* Undertake fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical systems including pumps (DOL and inverter-driven), hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Select, install, and maintain a wide range of pipework systems.
* Read and interpret schematic drawings to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
* Follow Health & Safety procedures relevant to engineering activities and the safe handling of heavy equipment.
* Record time, materials, and technical details for minor works and quotes.
* Provide timely job updates and reports to enable correct remedial actions.
Skills & Experience
* Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (City & Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3 minimum).
* Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and multi-skilled experience.
* Proven experience in fault-finding, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical plant and equipment.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small mobile team.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points.
* Experience with PPM systems of work and a flexible approach to tasks.
