Site Manager / Construction Manager required in Central London
GVR Solutions are currently representing a very well established main contractor who are currently in the market for an experienced Site Manager to join their construction team on a complex and challenging refurbishment and fit out of a Listed building in Central London.
Project: Listed building refurbishment and fit out with Occupied areas.
Location: Central London
Duration: 8 months
Rate: £60K – £65K
Daily responsibilities for the successful Site Manager will include:
* Working and reporting to the Project manager
* The role will require you to ensure the successful delivery of works on budget, on time and, in a safe manner and fully in accordance with company policy and procedures
* Managing contractors and direct operatives, ensuring planned works are completed on time and within budget
* You will work closely with the supply chain to ensure delivery, prepare work programmes, weekly reporting, hold regular meetings with supply chain and client, and providing high quality technical expertise on electrical works
* Managing and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.
Requirements for the role of Site Manager:
* 5 + years’ experience in a Site Manager position
* Experience working for an established main contractor
* Ideally experience working on listed building refurbishment and fit out projects in London
* Highly driven and have a good eye for detail & quality
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid
* Asbestos Awareness
* Temporary works
* Trade background is preferential but not essential
