Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with experience in Hands-on experience with extensions, loft conversions, new builds, and full refurbishments. This is a FULL TIME role, and we are looking to interview right away.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in residential construction, specifically in extensions, loft conversions, new builds, and full refurbishments. The ideal candidate will work closely with our operations team, ensuring efficient project delivery and maintaining excellent client relations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.

Conduct feasibility studies and prepare tender documents.

Provide accurate and timely cost estimates for projects.

Collaborate closely with the operations team to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgets.

Respond quickly to client inquiries and requests.

Prepare and submit variation orders promptly.

Assess and manage project risks and opportunities.

Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions and project documentation.

Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality standards.

Assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and payment schedules.

Support the team in achieving targets and objectives, contributing to the company’s growth.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in residential construction projects.

Hands-on experience with extensions, loft conversions, new builds, and full refurbishments.

Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
