With continued growth and a strong pipeline of exciting work, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team and play a key role in driving project success and profitability.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a fast-paced, design-led environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial management of multiple fit-out projects — ensuring cost control, value engineering, and profitability from inception through to completion.

Working closely with the wider project and design teams, this role will involve both pre- and post-contract duties, client liaison, and commercial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain full financial control of projects to ensure target margins are achieved or exceeded.

Prepare and manage valuations, variations, cost reports, and final accounts.

*

Evaluate subcontractor quotations and assist in selecting the most suitable partners.

*

Produce client applications for payment and oversee subcontractor payment processes.

*

Identify and implement opportunities for value engineering to enhance project profitability.

*

Attend site meetings and provide commercial input to ensure programme and budget alignment.

*

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the supply chain.

*

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the commercial team.

Requirements

*

Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial fit-out or design & build projects.

*

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver strong commercial results.

*

Sound working knowledge of JCT contracts and construction processes.

*

Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

*

Excellent attention to detail and financial accuracy.

*

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

*

A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to work independently when required
