HGV Class 2 Nights Winter Gritter Driver

Thrive Bolton are recruiting HGV night gritter drivers to join a local council.

This role is ongoing for 6 months and requires the candidates to be flexible for days and night work (weather dependant)

You must hold a HGV Class 2 with no more than 6 points, for insurance purposes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role.

In periods of good weather making yourself available for other duties. When not gritting other duties including working on the refuse wagons, on a day shift is required. 06:30am starts
Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect book
Road maintenance in line with adverse weather conditions
Ensure that all Daily vehicle Checks are undertaken and reported.This role is ongoing for a minimum of 6 month with opportunities to move onto different departments at the end of the contract.

Hours are Sunday to Thursday 23:00 – 07:00 however must be flexible, as you may be required earlier weather dependant.

Training will be provided.
