Boost your Health & Safety career with a leading main contractor

Are you early in your Health & Safety career and eager to grow with the support of an experienced team?
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded main contractor operating across Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. You’ll be part of a professional Health & Safety team that’s passionate about creating safe, positive environments on construction sites.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide variety of refurbishment and new-build projects – from commercial and education to accommodation and automotive sectors – with project values ranging from £5m to £75m.

What you’ll be doing

Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager and experienced advisors, you’ll:

* Support in developing and reviewing Construction SHE Plans, Environmental Plans, and traffic management plans.

* Assist with setting up new sites in line with company procedures.

* Help monitor site activities, ensuring safe working practices are followed.

* Take part in incident and near-miss investigations.

* Attend site meetings with clients and internal teams.

* Carry out random drug and alcohol testing.

* Contribute to promoting a strong safety culture across all sites.

What we’re looking for

* Some experience or exposure to Health & Safety within the construction industry.

* A genuine interest in developing your career in construction safety.

* NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or currently working towards it).

* Good communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.

* A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Perhaps you’ve started your career as a Site Operative or Trainee Advisor and are ready to take the next step into a dedicated Health & Safety role — if so, we’d love to hear from you.

What’s on offer

* Competitive salary (depending on experience)

* Car allowance + mileage expenses

* 25 days annual leave

* Company pension

* Annual bonus scheme

* Ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities
