Our client is a well-established groundworks contractor with a turnover exceeding £100m and a strong reputation across the South East. With 6–7 new projects starting shortly and a robust pipeline of work, they’re now expanding their commercial team.

Specialising in groundworks and civil engineering packages for many of the UK’s leading housebuilders, the company has achieved consistent year-on-year growth. With a team of 10 experienced Quantity Surveyors already in place, they offer a stable, collaborative environment with excellent opportunities for career progression.

About the Role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will oversee the commercial management of groundworks projects across Chatham and Kent.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing valuations, variations, cost control, and payments

* Working closely with project teams and clients to ensure profitability

* Maintaining and developing strong relationships with housebuilders

* Producing accurate financial reports for senior management

* Supporting the successful delivery of multiple new projects

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor

* Background in Civil Engineering, Groundworks, or Infrastructure

* Strong commercial and NEC / JCT contractual knowledge

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment

* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying
