We are currently collaborating with a global tier 1 main contractor that specialises in complex workspace fit out and refurbishment schemes in a wide range of sectors across a number of procurement routes, including Traditional and Design & Build. From small moves and changes to large scale relocations.

With a turnover in excess of £300 million, the company predominantly undertakes workspace projects, but they also work on education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, mission critical, life sciences, residential and retail projects across Europe, Asia and USA.

Design Manager

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, our client is seeking a Design Manager to oversee the design delivery on fit out and refurbishment projects in central London, from preconstruction through to project completion.

Schemes types: Fit Out – Values Typically £5 – £25 million in Central London

We are interested in established Design Managers and Architects that are looking to take the next step in their career and move into a Design Management role.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited:

* Manage and supervise design consultants, subconsultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of design information for on-site completion

* Manage document controllers, design managers, and coordinators on project tasks

* Conduct design audits, document findings, and report to directors

* Lead plan meetings, ensuring adherence to design schedules and effective communication

* Ensure designs address environmental, quality, and safety concerns

* Collaborate with site team to ensure practicality and feasibility of designs

* Negotiate and finalize duties, scope, and deliverables with the design team
