Traffic Marshall

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Traffic Marshall/Labourer to join a busy site team based in Norwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic safely around the worksite, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times. This role also involves general labouring duties to support site operations, including assisting trades, maintaining site cleanliness, and ensuring a safe working environment. This position requires a hands-on approach, good communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
Direct and control traffic flow safely around the site to protect workers and the public
Assist with general labouring tasks such as site cleaning, material handling, and supporting tradespeople
Ensure compliance with site safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE
Maintain clear and safe access routes for vehicles and pedestrians
Report any hazards or incidents promptly to site management
Support the smooth running of site operations through effective communication and teamwork

Skills
Proven experience as a Traffic Marshall or similar role on construction or industrial sites
Good understanding of health and safety practices and site safety protocols
Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with site personnel and the public
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour tasks
Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Team player with a flexible approach to work
Basic knowledge of site signage and traffic management systems
Awareness of risk assessment and hazard reporting procedures
Valid CSCS card or equivalent

Certifications & Standards
CSCS card (desirable)
Valid Traffic Marshall or Banksman certification (advantageous)
PPE compliance
