Our client is a respected and well-established civil engineering contractor seeking to appoint a permanent Site Engineer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of high-profile projects across Scotland.

Role Overview
As a Site Engineer, you’ll work closely with the Site Agent to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for technical accuracy, on-site coordination, and ensuring each project meets programme and quality objectives.
Your civil engineering expertise — particularly in renewables, wind farms, and infrastructure projects — will be key to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and conducting precise surveying activities.
Performing initial site surveys and investigations.
Implementing agreed construction strategies.
Reviewing and verifying designs, drawings, and quantities for accuracy.
Supporting the management of construction operations.
Assisting with re-measurement, valuations, and tender contributions.
Carrying out bulk earthworks calculations and value engineering exercises.
Overseeing quality control and on-site Health & Safety compliance.
Preparing method statements and risk assessments.
Providing technical support to the project team as required.
Qualifications & Skills
HNC or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.
Proven experience within a civil engineering contracting environment.
Hands-on experience in renewables, power, or substation projects (highly desirable).
Strong setting out and surveying capabilities (essential).
Familiarity with CAD software (advantageous).
Valid CSCS card and 3-Day First Aid certification preferred.
SMSTS or SSSTS qualification required.
Willingness to travel and work across project sites in Scotland.
Full UK driving licence.
Experience in the energy or renewables sector is an advantage.
