About the Project
We’re currently working on a residential development (e.g. new-build apartments, housing schemes, or high-end residential fit-outs) and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager on a freelance basis. This role involves overseeing all electrical activities on site, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance while keeping the project on schedule and within scope.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and coordinate all on-site electrical works, including subcontractors and electricians
• Interpret electrical drawings, designs, and specifications; ensure correct installation
• Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality of work and compliance with regulations
• Work closely with the site manager, project manager, and other trade supervisors
• Implement and maintain health & safety procedures – ensure RAMS, PPE, and safe systems of work are in place
• Oversee and sign off test & inspection reports and commissioning documentation
• Monitor progress, identify risks or delays, and escalate issues where necessary
• Support with snagging, defect rectification, and handover processes
• Maintain detailed daily/weekly site records including labour, materials, and progress reports
• Attend site meetings and contribute to overall project coordination

Required Qualifications & Skills
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Electrical Site Manager or similar role on residential developments
• Proven track record delivering electrical works on large-scale housing or apartment schemes
• Valid ECS Gold Card
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification
• Full UK Driving Licence
