The Role

We are seeking an experienced Stone Mason to join our client’s skilled team, working on both restoration and new stone installations in Hornchurch and the surrounding Essex / Greater London area.

Key Responsibilities

* Cutting, shaping, dressing, and finishing stone to precise specifications

* Installing stonework, including facades, cladding, decorative, and structural elements

* Repairing and restoring existing stone features

* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and templates

* Working with natural stone, semi-precious stone, marble, and other materials

* Ensuring all work meets health & safety and quality standards

* Collaborating with team members and other trades to deliver projects on time and to specification

Requirements

* Proven experience as a stonemason or similar trade background

* Strong knowledge of traditional and modern stone masonry techniques

* Competence in using a range of masonry tools and equipment

* Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team

* Valid UK driving licence preferred
