Architectural CAD Technician

Anderselite are working with a leading residential developer who are looking to appoint an Architectural CAD Technician on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established housebuilder and provide technical support across a range of live residential projects.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the production and coordination of working drawings, technical details, and construction information. You will liaise with internal teams and external consultants to ensure high-quality technical outputs are delivered in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities
– Preparing and amending house type working drawings to suit site-specific requirements.
– Producing detailed construction drawings, including structural steelwork where required.
– Coordinating with external consultants (structural, fire, M&E, drainage, etc.) and ensuring compatibility with working drawings.
– Incorporating feedback from internal departments and Housing Associations into technical packages.
– Producing brochure plans, dimensional drawings, and Health & Safety plans.
– Providing drawing and detail support to the wider team.

Candidate Requirements
– Qualification in Architectural Technology/Building/Architecture (BTEC Level 3/ONC/OND or equivalent).
– 3+ years' post-qualification experience in the housebuilding sector.
– Strong knowledge of traditional and modern methods of housing construction.
– Good understanding of Building Regulations and warranty provider standards.
– Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit advantageous).
– Knowledge of structural, thermal, energy, fire and acoustic design principles.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
