We’re seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in flat roofing to join a well-established roofing contractor based in Colchester. This is a key role overseeing multiple projects across the South East, ensuring each job is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

The Role

You’ll manage a portfolio of flat roofing contracts, coordinating teams, materials, and subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget. The position requires a proactive and organised leader who can maintain strong client relationships while ensuring all health & safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee multiple flat roofing projects from tender to completion.

Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

*

Conduct regular site visits, progress meetings, and inspections.

*

Prepare and review RAMS, toolbox talks, and ensure site compliance.

*

Control budgets, scheduling, and material procurement.

*

Deliver projects to high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within flat roofing (essential).

*

Strong knowledge of systems such as bituminous, liquid, or single-ply membranes.

*

Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.

*

SSSTS / SMSTS, First Aid, and relevant NVQ qualifications desirable.

*

Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
