Heating Engineer – Domestic Installations

Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas

Prime Workforce (PWS) is seeking a skilled and dependable Heating Engineer to join our team, working on a range of domestic projects across the Glasgow area. This role focuses on the safe and efficient installation and upgrade of gas heating systems, with opportunities to expand into servicing, fault-finding, and basic plumbing tasks.

The ideal candidate will be Gas Safe registered, experienced in boiler installations and heating system upgrades, and committed to high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities

· Boiler Installations: Install, replace, and commission domestic gas boilers.

· Full Heating Systems: Design and install complete heating systems, including all pipework and controls.

· Chemical System Flushes: Clean and flush heating systems to improve performance and efficiency.

· Gas Pipe Upgrades: Modify and upgrade gas pipework to meet safety and compliance standards.

· Radiator Installations: Fit and replace radiators, valves, and related pipework.

· Gas Hob Installations: Install and connect gas hobs and domestic appliances safely.

· Servicing & Fault Finding (desirable): Diagnose and repair faults in heating systems and appliances.

· Basic Plumbing (desirable): Assist with kitchen and bathroom plumbing as part of wider domestic works.

Requirements

· Gas Safe Registration (essential).

· Proven experience in domestic heating installations.

· Strong understanding of gas safety regulations and industry best practices.

· Skilled in both installation and system upgrades.

· Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multi-trade team.

· High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Strong awareness of on-site health and safety.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

· Experience in heating system servicing and breakdown response.

· Basic plumbing knowledge for kitchen and bathroom work.

· Flexibility to handle a variety of heating and plumbing tasks.

· Full UK driving licence and own tools.
