Hire Desk Controller
Roles and responsibilities:
· Take and action hire requests from sites.
· Record and action breakdowns – issue jobs to in house fitters or external hire companies.
· Maximise use of company owned assets.
· Arrange externally hired plant and equipment for sites.
· Liaise with suppliers and ensure on-hire lists are correct in line with records on a weekly basis.
· Reduce and query damage charges with suppliers.
· Ensure all charges are added to contracts and billed to sites accordingly.
· Send out weekly hire reports and deal with any queries.
· Ensure assets are accurately hired out to sites and hire is recorded on the asset management system.
· Implement and adhere to on-hire/ off-hire procedures.
· Answering the departmental telephone.
· Collect and file machine inspection certifications and updating the expiry dates.
· Arrange puncture and hose repairs for site.
· Resolve invoice queries with suppliers.
· Purchase spares and consumables for the repair and maintenance of owned assets.
· Generate hire contracts and purchase orders for cross hired equipment.
· Arrange transport to move owned equipment between sites.
· Process site check sheets and assign remedial works to fitters as required.
· Obtains quotes and raise purchase orders for plant spares and consumables
