About the Role
A leading M&E Engineering company, part of a large construction group , is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a major new build project based near Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and technical excellence across all project activities.
As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems, conducting inspections and audits, and supporting our project delivery teams in achieving outstanding performance across all MEP installations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the project team in implementing and maintaining project-specific Quality Management Plans.
Conduct regular site inspections, quality checks, and internal audits to ensure compliance with the companies and client standards.
Review and approve inspection and test plans (ITPs), material approvals, and quality documentation.
Identify, record, and track non-conformances, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and construction teams to resolve quality-related issues.
Provide quality-focused input during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
Assist in preparing handover documentation and quality dossiers for client acceptance.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence across the project team.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with:
Proven experience in quality assurance/control within the building services or MEP sector.
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in large-scale construction projects.
Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Relevant engineering or construction qualifications (HNC/HND or degree-level preferred).
CSCS card and relevant safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH) desirable
