The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team on a high-profile social housing refurbishment project in Nottingham. This role is crucial and requires an individual with demonstrated experience in managing complex refurbishment works, particularly within live, occupied residential flats.

What You'll Be Doing (The Refurb Focus)
You will be primarily responsible for assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day operations of the refurbishment scheme, ensuring quality and safety while minimizing disruption to residents:
Trade Supervision: Oversee and manage multiple subcontractors working on internal fit-out, including M&E, kitchen and bathroom replacements, and finishing works.
Resident Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for residents, addressing queries and ensuring works are carried out respectfully and safely within occupied properties.
Safety & Compliance: Assist with site inductions, issue and review Permits to Work, and maintain meticulous Health & Safety documentation.
Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections and snagging to ensure all refurbishment works meet the required specification and client standards.
Daily Management: Support with site set-up, materials delivery coordination, and reporting on project progress to senior management.
What You'll Need (Essential Requirements)
Proven Refurb Experience: Must have a background working on residential refurbishment schemes (social housing experience is highly advantageous).
Qualifications: Holds up-to-date CSCS and SMSTS certification, along with a First Aid certificate.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication and diplomatic skills for managing residents, sub-contractors, and the client.
Location: Available to work in the Nottingham area.
