We’re looking for an experienced Design Manager to join an award-winning main contractor in their busy Swansea office. This is a key opportunity to become part of a thriving regional business unit with a strong reputation for quality, collaboration, and delivering major projects across South Wales and the South West.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Design Lead, you’ll take ownership of the design process from tender through to completion on a variety of high-profile projects — typically up to £80 million in value. Current and upcoming schemes include education buildings, MOD developments, and large commercial projects, offering a diverse and rewarding workload.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage design development across multiple live and pre-construction projects

Work closely with clients, consultants, and delivery teams to drive design quality and efficiency

*

Ensure design deliverables meet programme, budget, and technical standards

*

Provide design input during tenders and support bid submissions

About You

Experienced Design Manager with a background in main contracting

*

Strong communicator, able to coordinate multi-disciplinary design teams

*

Skilled in managing design risk and driving technical excellence

*

Proactive, collaborative, and commercially astute
