We are a well-established and reputable civil engineering contractor delivering a range of infrastructure schemes across the South of England. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, quality, and safety, we work across both public and private sectors to deliver highways, drainage, utility, and general civil engineering projects.

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our delivery team and lead key infrastructure schemes across the region.

Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure civil engineering schemes. You will lead site teams, manage resources, ensure health & safety compliance, and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and deliver infrastructure projects including highways, drainage, utilities, and public realm works.

Take full ownership of project planning, programming, cost control, and risk management.

*

Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations, Health & Safety legislation, and internal procedures.

*

Lead and support site teams including Site Managers, Engineers, and Operatives.

*

Liaise with clients, local authorities, design teams, and subcontractors to maintain strong working relationships.

*

Maintain accurate site records, forecasts, and project reporting to senior management.

*

Drive performance and ensure works are delivered to specification, on time and within budget.

*

Monitor subcontractor performance and implement corrective actions where required.

*

Promote a positive safety culture and environmental best practices on site.

Requirements

Essential:

*

Proven track record in delivering civil engineering and infrastructure schemes for a contractor.

*

Strong understanding of highways, drainage, utilities, and general groundworks.

*

Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

*

Experience managing site teams and multiple stakeholders.

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.

*

Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

*

HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

*

Familiarity with NEC or other standard forms of contract.

*

Temporary Works Coordinator or Appointed Person qualifications.
