Senior Planner (M&E Building Services)
Yorkshire (Leeds or Sheffield Office)
We’re working with a leading UK engineering and building services contractor to recruit a Senior M&E Planner for a major project based in Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planner to join a progressive organisation delivering large-scale, complex projects across the region.
You’ll be responsible for creating, managing, and implementing realistic and efficient project programmes that meet both client and internal requirements, with a strong focus on best practice, risk management, and project delivery excellence.
The Role
As a Senior Planner, you will:

Develop and manage detailed project programmes using Critical Path Analysis, resource planning, and progress monitoring.

Coordinate internal planning meetings with project stakeholders to ensure accurate inputs into the project plan.
*
Produce and maintain a contract baseline aligned with the agreed workscope, contract terms, and project objectives.
*
Track progress, monitor productivity, and issue clear, timely reports to project teams and senior management.
*
Conduct Time/Risk analyses with project managers throughout the lifecycle of each project.
*
Integrate approved changes and variations into live project plans and communicate impacts effectively.
*
Support bid activity and business development initiatives when required.
*
Ensure all planning activities comply with internal processes, contractual obligations, and relevant legislation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Significant experience as a Planner on medium to large M&E or industrial building services projects.
*
Solid construction site experience.
*
Knowledge of NEC3 contracts (advantageous).
*
Proficiency with project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar).
*
A relevant qualification in engineering, construction, or project management.
*
Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
