The Chartered Building Surveyor's Role
As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will manage a range of property portfolios, projects, and transactions, delivering advice across the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment process. This is a client-facing position where you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of technical delivery and service excellence.
Your duties will include:
Carrying out building and measured surveys
Ensuring buildings conform to the latest building regulations and technical standards
Taking particulars on site, preparing specifications, obtaining estimates, and administering maintenance contracts
Analysing and reporting on building defects
Handling claims and negotiations with loss adjusters, preparing drawings and specifications for remedial works
Preparing schedules of dilapidations for both land and buildings
The Successful Chartered Building Surveyor Will Have
Qualifications:
MRICS Chartered
A degree in Building Surveying or a related field
Experience & Attributes:
Proven experience in a similar role
Excellent technical knowledge and attention to detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships
A proactive approach to problem solving and project delivery

£50,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience)
