Material Planner

PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Construction Sector to recruit a Material Planner to Join their Procurement team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in West Midlands.

Material Planner Roles and Responsibilities

Monitor demand forecasts, customer orders, and usage trends to create accurate material requirements plans
Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance customer service with working capital targets
Work closely with the procurement team to place purchase orders in line with planning requirements
Liaise with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, or discrepancies
Produce regular reports on stock levels, demand forecast accuracy, supplier performance, and availability
Analyse demand/supply trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.Material Planner Requirements

Previous experience in a material planning, inventory management, or procurement role (ideally in a distribution or wholesale environment).
Working knowledge of CRM systems
Computer literate
Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practicesMaterial Planner Benefits

Salary – £27,000 – £30,000 DOE
