* Salary: Up to £62,000 + package
* Project Value: £4m+ (initial), increasing to £8m+ in 26/27

Role
We are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to work with a Leading Property Services company. Together we are seeking an experienced and highly driven Project Quantity Surveyor to lead the on-site delivery of a high-profile Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) programme in Cambridgeshire, focused on external wall insulation (EWI), photovoltaic (PV) systems, and air source heat pump (ASHP) installations to occupied homes.
This is a flagship £4m project in the CB6 postcode area, forming the first phase of a larger retrofit programme forecast to grow to over £8m in 2026/27.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities for planned maintenance projects.
* Manage procurement processes, including preparation and analysis of tenders.
* Administer construction contracts (e.g., JCT/NEC), including issuing instructions and assessing variations.
* Monitor and report on project costs, cash flow, and financial performance.
* Carry out monthly valuations, approve interim payments, and agree final accounts with contractors.
* Ensure compliance with funding criteria such as Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) or Decent Homes Standard.
* Provide commercial input to project planning, specifications, and value engineering exercises.
* Liaise with tenants, client teams, and delivery partners to ensure smooth project delivery and effective communication.
* Support with risk management, cost control, and dispute resolution as required.
* Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to internal and external audits.
What we are looking for
* Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Project Surveyor within social housing, retrofit, or planned maintenance.
* Strong understanding of cost control, contract management, and commercial reporting.
* Working knowledge of NEC or JCT contracts.
* Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying software
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
