M&E Project Manager – London Council
£350 per day PAYE / £450 per day Umbrella or LTD (Inside IR35)
Full-time, ongoing contract

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced M&E Project Manager to join a London-based Council within their Capital Works team. This role will take the lead on a range of mechanical and electrical projects, ensuring delivery to time, cost, and quality standards while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement throughout.

Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of M&E capital projects from inception through to completion and handover.
Coordinate and motivate project teams, managing contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
Take ownership of budgets, procurement, and project performance in line with council governance.
Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM Regulations, and corporate policies.
Build effective working relationships with residents, client departments, and the Asset Management team.
Attend evening and occasional weekend meetings where required to support project delivery.Requirements:

Proven experience delivering M&E or Capital Works projects within local authority, housing, or public sector environments.
Strong understanding of project and contract management, procurement, and leaseholder engagement.
Knowledge of CDM, compliance, and Health & Safety standards.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
Professional qualification or chartership (RICS, CIOB, APM, or NEBOSH Construction) desirable but not essential.
