Estimator – Permanent Role | Civil Engineering Company | KT15

Our client, a respected and fast-growing civil engineering company based in KT15, is looking for a skilled and detail-focused Estimator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of domestic construction projects ranging in value from £100k to £2.5m.

🔍 About the Role:

As an Estimator, you will play a key part in the tendering and pre-construction phase, preparing accurate cost estimates that help secure and shape projects. Working closely with the commercial, technical and operational teams, you’ll provide cost-effective and competitive solutions tailored to client needs.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience working as an Estimator in the construction industry.

*

Experience with domestic projects in the £100k–£2.5m range.

*

Strong knowledge of materials, subcontractor pricing, and market rates.

*

A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

*

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

🎯 Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.

*

Analyse project drawings and specifications to produce accurate pricing.

*

Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

*

Work closely with project managers and the commercial team to align estimates with delivery goals.

*

Maintain cost databases and pricing libraries.
