My client is a leading engineering and construction business, recognised for delivering some of the UK’s most challenging and high-profile infrastructure projects. With a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and technical excellence, they are now looking to expand their commercial team with an experienced Estimator to support upcoming civils schemes across the North West and beyond.

The Role

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a wide range of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, rail, and public sector works. You’ll be involved from early-stage feasibility through to tender and project award, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.

* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

* Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information.

* Evaluate and manage project risks and opportunities.

* Support the bid team in developing winning strategies and proposals.

* Contribute to project handover and cost planning processes post-award.

About You

* Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering sector.

* Background in infrastructure, rail, or public sector projects is essential.

* Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

* Proficient in estimating software and MS Office tools.

* Full UK driving licence (some site travel required).
