Front Of House / Induction Manager
Key Responsibilities
* Organise and conduct site inductions:
Schedule and deliver inductions for new workers and visitors, ensuring they receive all necessary site-specific information.
* Sign in Vistors to Welfare and Site
Ensure that visitors are signed in and relevant forms have been completed.
* Communicate site-specific hazards and risks:
Explain the unique risks of the site, including physical, chemical, and environmental hazards, and outline control measures.
* Provide site overview and layout:
Detail the site layout, boundaries, operational zones, and facility locations (restrooms, first aid, emergency exits).
* Explain emergency procedures:
Inform inductees about accident and incident reporting, first-aid arrangements, and emergency contact protocols.
* Disseminate company policies:
Cover essential company and site-specific policies and procedures, including site access, security, and permits.
* Introduce key personnel:
Identify key personnel, reporting structures, and emergency contacts.
* Verify understanding:
Implement methods to check that inductees understand the material, such as Q&A sessions.
Skills and Qualifications
* Communication and interpersonal skills: To clearly explain information and effectively interact with a diverse range of workers.
* Attention to detail: To ensure all critical safety and procedural information is covered.
* Site knowledge: An understanding of the specific site's operations, rules, and potential hazards. (Although desirable, this can be taught)
* Health and Safety knowledge: An understanding of health and safety regulations and practices relevant to the site.
* Organisational skills: To plan and manage the induction process efficiently.
* Compliance-focused: A commitment to ensuring all site rules are followed.
* Computer Skills: Decent IT skills are required as there are several software packages to navigate
