The Opportunity:
We’re recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading main contractor on a £30m care home development in Bath. The project combines new build and refurbishment elements, offering a technically interesting and varied challenge.

This is a freelance position running through to July 2027, supporting the Project Manager as a strong, dependable No.2 on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Manager with day-to-day site operations.

*

Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver works safely, on time and to quality standards.

*

Coordinate both new build and refurbishment activities.

*

Oversee programme delivery, sequencing, and logistics.

*

Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements.

*

Drive quality assurance and ensure smooth communication with the wider project team.

*

Attend client, design, and progress meetings as required.

Requirements:

*

Proven track record as a Senior Site Manager on large-scale projects (£20m+).

*

Experience with both new build and refurb schemes – ideally in residential, care, or healthcare environments.

*

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

*

SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), and First Aid certification.

*

Available to start imminently and commit for the full duration of the project.

Freelance position (Outside IR35 considered).

*

Start: Immediate / October 2025.

*

Duration: Until July 2027.

*

Location: Bath (on-site, full-time).

*

Rate: Competitive day rate (DOE).
