Overview

TradesTech Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor to recruit an experienced SHEQ Delivery Advisor.

This role is perfect for a health and safety professional who thrives on improving safety culture, engaging with project teams, and driving continuous improvement across multiple construction sites. You’ll play a key part in maintaining compliance, supporting project delivery, and promoting a proactive safety-first culture.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert SHEQ advice to site and project management teams.

*

Carry out regular site inspections and audits, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance.

*

Lead incident investigations and deliver effective root cause analysis and improvement plans.

*

Engage with site operatives and supply chain partners to promote safe working practices and wellbeing.

*

Support the development and implementation of safe systems of work and risk assessments.

*

Attend project review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

*

Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on SHEQ matters.

*

Lead or support internal health, safety, and environmental improvement projects.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

*

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)

*

IOSH Membership

*

Valid CSCS Card

*

Full UK Driving Licence

Essential Experience:

*

Proven background in civil engineering, construction, or groundworks environments

*

Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations

*

Experience leading safety inspections, audits, and investigations

*

Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills

*

IT literate with solid report writing and data analysis skills
