Section Engineer
We are currently seeking an experienced Section Engineer to join our client’s team at Hinkley Point C, one of the UK’s largest and most prestigious infrastructure projects. Our team is delivering a wide range of roads, drainage, and infrastructure works across the site, and we’re looking for a driven individual ready to hit the ground running.
The Role
As a Section Engineer, you'll play a key role in the engineering function including planning, and supervising works on site. You’ll be part of a high-performing team delivering essential civil infrastructure across a complex and evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and overseeing road, drainage, and infrastructure works
* Ensuring engineering works are completed to specification
* Supervising and mentoring Site Engineers and Operatives
* Ensuring quality, safety, and environmental compliance
* Coordinating with design teams, subcontractors, and clients
Shift Pattern
* 7 days on / 3 days off
* 7 nights on / 4 nights off
* 9 out of 14 shifts are paid at x1.5 rate (all nights and weekends)
* Excellent earning potential due to enhanced rates
What We’re Looking For
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
* Prior experience on large civil infrastructure projects (ideally Tier 1 or major subcontractor)
* Strong knowledge of setting out, QA, and site coordination
* CSCS card required
* Safety-first attitude and ability to work in a highly regulated environment
Rate
* Competitive day rate (PAYE Umbrella) – up to £520 days
* Uplifted shift rates paid (x1.5 for nights and weekends)
