Junior / Mid-Level Façade Designer

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Façade Designer to join a specialist architectural glazing team. You’ll be involved in designing and delivering high-quality façades for commercial and residential projects, working alongside experienced designers, engineers, and fabrication teams. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to the full project lifecycle—from concept through to installation.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing façade designs that are visually striking, buildable, and compliant with UK regulations.

Produce detailed drawings, sections, elevations, and 3D models using CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, etc.).

*

Coordinate with architects, engineers, suppliers, and fabrication teams to ensure design feasibility.

*

Specify materials, glazing systems, frames, fixings, and sealants under guidance.

*

Support performance checks for thermal, acoustic, structural, and weatherproofing requirements.

*

Conduct site surveys and assist in resolving technical queries.

*

Maintain accurate design documentation and drawing revisions.

Requirements

*

Degree or diploma in architecture, façade engineering, building technology, or similar.

*

1–4 years’ experience in façade, curtain wall, or glazing design.

*

Proficiency with CAD/BIM software.

*

Basic understanding of glazing systems, curtain walls, and façade detailing.

*

Knowledge of UK building regulations and performance standards is preferred.

*

Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and willingness to learn.

*

Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Desirable

*

Exposure to advanced or bespoke façade systems.

*

Experience with thermal or structural performance calculations.

*

Familiarity with fabrication or installation processes.
