Contracts Manager
A leading specialist contractor in passive fire protection is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their growing team.
The business delivers high-quality fire safety solutions for some of the UK's most respected main contractors, working across a wide range of commercial, healthcare, education, retail, residential, and public sector projects.
Their services include fire stopping, fire barriers, fire doors, intumescent coatings, and compartmentation surveys – all carried out by a fully accredited and experienced team.
With continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking for an experienced professional to take ownership of multiple live projects valued between £50,000 and £3 million.
The Role
This is a hybrid position, combining office and site-based work. You'll be responsible for managing several concurrent passive fire protection projects from contract award through to handover, ensuring each is delivered safely, profitably, and to the company's high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple live projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and in full compliance with fire safety regulations.
Lead and support site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors across various active sites.
Act as the key point of contact for clients and main contractors, maintaining strong working relationships throughout project delivery.
Oversee project programmes, RAMS, QA documentation, and reporting.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant accreditation and legislative standards.
Support commercial and operational teams in forecasting, variations, and project planning.
About You
Minimum 5 consecutive years' experience within the passive fire protection industry (essential).
At least 3 years' experience as a Contracts Manager managing fire protection or fire stopping projects (essential).
Proven ability to handle multiple projects valued between £50k – £3m concurrently.
Excellent understanding of passive fire protection systems and compliance requirements.
Strong leadership, organisational, and client-facing skills.
Commercially aware, confident, and capable of working independently.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
