Duties
This is a dynamic, innovative team created from merging both the construction and network services to form Lancashire Highway Services. We have demonstrated our capabilities to deliver both highway maintenance and multi-million-pound highway infrastructure schemes. This success has gained stakeholder confidence which has meant we are now the "Provider of Choice" for Highways Services in Lancashire.
Quantity Surveyor – For this exciting opportunity, we are seeking a professionally qualified highways Quantity Surveyor who has both applied and theoretical knowledge of civil engineering and public realm works. 
You will be professional in your approach and possess an aptitude to excel and make this role a success, with a core skill set including: 
Competence to prepare estimates and tenders from drawing take off's and Schedule of Rates to produce Bills of Quantities for budgeting and cost control and where necessary market testing.
Be skilled in site measurement, and collating site information to produce early warnings and compensation events/variations to ensure all site information reflects the works undertaken whilst capturing all potential commercial impacts. 
Financial management of the supply chain including agreement of variance, valuation of variance and where necessary any instructions, 
Monthly AFP's final account agreement marked drawings and statement sign off.  
Procurement of services in support of LCC Procurement Services including site prestart procurement schedules for bulk orders and material call offs, work package agreements, liability allocations
