Salary/Benefits: £35k – £55k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting for an established name in the Asbestos industry, who have a busy portfolio of clients across the Central Belt of Scotland. They are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Asbestos Operations Manager who has strong experience within the consultancy sector. Applicants will have a proven track record of overseeing daily operations across the region, and providing ongoing support to clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience of conducting asbestos surveys and air monitoring, and will utilise this knowledge to monitor the progress and efficiency of works undertaken throughout the department. The company are also able to consider candidates who are seeking the opportunity to move into a management position, as full training and support can be provided. Experience / Qualifications:
– Strong background working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst
– Ideally will have experience working as an Asbestos Operations Manager within a consultancy
– Proven team leadership experience
– Will hold industry relevant qualifications, such as: BOHS P402, P403, P404, P405 or RSPH equivalents
– It would support applications to hold the CCP and / or CoCA
– Excellent technical knowledge, including HSG 264, HSG 248 and UKAS guidelines
– Hardworking and professional attitude
– Adaptable and proactive nature
– Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
– Supporting the daily running of a UKAS accredited Asbestos department
– Overseeing the allocation of works
– Ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard and within agreed timeframes
– Conducting competency checks and auditing on site staff
– Being a key point of contact for clients, providing technical and logistical support
– Working from the office and travelling to site when required
– Meeting with clients to discuss project performance
– Partaking in the recruiting process, interviewing and on-boarding new candidates
– Training and overseeing new members of staff
– Monitoring the safe completion of works
– Maintaining UKAS guideline compliance
