Senior Architectural Technologist

Location: West Sussex

Salary: £40-46,000 DOE

I'm working in partnership with an award-winning architectural practice to appoint a Senior Architectural Technologist to their creative and collaborative team based in West Sussex. This dynamic studio delivers an exciting mix of residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and commercial projects, taking schemes from concept to completion.

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you'll be a key player in project coordination and delivery, leading design teams and maintaining direct communication with clients, consultants, and contractors. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, proactive individual who values technical excellence, enjoys hands-on project leadership, and thrives in a studio culture built on collaboration and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project delivery through RIBA Stages 4-6, with a focus on residential and mixed-use schemes.

Prepare and coordinate comprehensive working drawing packages, including detailed plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and technical details.

Manage coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Act as a primary client contact, maintaining clear, professional communication throughout each project phase.

Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration, efficiency, and technical quality.

About You

Degree or HNC/HND in Architectural Technology (CIAT accreditation advantageous).

Proven technical experience on medium to large-scale projects (typically £5m+ construction value).

Proficient in Autodesk Revit (essential) and AutoCAD.

Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations and Housing Standards.

Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Confident working independently while maintaining strong communication within a team-focused environment.

Highly skilled in technical detailing and knowledgeable in modern construction methods.
