Operations Manager – Passive Fire

We’re representing a leading Passive Fire Protection contractor based in Essex who are looking to appoint an Operations Manager to help lead their growing delivery team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a strong firestopping background to join a business with an exceptional reputation across commercial, healthcare, and large-scale residential projects.

Role Overview:

The Operations Manager will oversee multiple high-value passive fire projects across London and the South East, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest compliance standards. You’ll lead a team of Contracts Managers, Project Managers, and Site Teams while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the operational delivery of multiple passive fire projects simultaneously

* Manage and support project and contracts management teams

* Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, QA procedures, and client specifications

* Drive performance, productivity, and profitability across all projects

* Maintain and develop strong client relationships

* Support tender reviews, resourcing, and planning for new projects

* Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

* Proven experience in passive fire protection, ideally from a firestopping background

* Previous experience managing multi-million-pound commercial projects

* Strong leadership and people management skills

* Excellent understanding of fire safety compliance and certification standards

* Commercial awareness with the ability to oversee budgets and performance targets

* Full UK driving licence
