Role Overview:

We're looking for 4 experienced Fire Spray Operatives to join our team for long-term work in Manchester.

This role involves the application of intumescent coatings and spray-applied fire protection systems on a variety of commercial projects. Operatives must have proven experience in fire spraying, a strong understanding of required thicknesses and specifications, and the ability to deliver a high-quality finish to meet fire protection standards.

Key Requirements:

Experience with SFRM and/or Intumescent coatings
Knowledge of Passive Fire Protection Systems
Blue CSCS CardDay-to-Day Responsibilities:

Apply intumescent and fire-resistant coatings to structural steel and other building elements in line with specification requirements.
Prepare surfaces prior to application, including cleaning, masking, and priming as needed.
Mix and operate airless spray equipment safely and efficiently.
Measure and verify film thicknesses to ensure compliance with required fire ratings.
Maintain clean and organised work areas, tools, and equipment.
Follow site-specific health & safety procedures, including PPE and COSHH requirements.
Complete daily records of work completed, materials used, and areas covered.
Liaise with site supervisors and managers to ensure smooth workflow and quality standards are maintained.
Carry out minor touch-ups or re-sprays as required to achieve full compliance and finish quality.
