An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Freelance Site Manager to lead the delivery of a high-specification CAT A Fit-Out in Southampton. The development is part of a cutting-edge health and innovation campus and involves managing a shared site within a live operational environment.
Project Overview
The scheme involves the internal fit-out of a newly constructed commercial building to CAT A standard.
Works will be carried out in a live environment, requiring careful coordination with other contractors and stakeholders.
The site setup is scheduled to commence on 20th October, with a 35-week delivery programme.
The building will support future healthcare and research tenants, demanding high-quality finishes and robust infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and programme milestones are met.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across a shared site, maintaining clear communication and site discipline.
Oversee MEP installations and ensure technical compliance with design specifications.
Lead site setup and mobilisation, establishing logistics and welfare facilities.
Maintain strict adherence to health & safety protocols in a live environment.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience managing fit-out projects in live, multi-contractor environments.
Strong technical understanding of MEP systems and sequencing.
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and drive programme delivery.
