FM Mechanical Engineer

We're excited to share an excellent opportunity to join the team as a FM Mechanical Engineer based at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role:
As part of our on-site engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and supporting a wide range of mechanical systems across the hospital – including heating, ventilation, pressurised steam, and medical gas systems. You'll carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and fault finding to ensure all critical systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and service large mechanical systems such as boilers, HVAC, and medical gas systems.

Diagnose and repair faults using schematics and analytical tools.

Complete planned preventative maintenance and compliance documentation.

Adhere to all site safety and infection control.

What We're Looking For:

Recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship qualification (e.g., C&G, Scotvec SVQ3 or equivalent)

Experience in mechanical maintenance or FM environments (hospital experience advantageous)

Must be able to pass a DS Basic check
