Estimator

Our client, one of the UK's leading roofing and waterproofing specialists are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Estimator to join their team based.

About the Role

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in the tendering and pricing process for a wide range of roofing and waterproofing projects – from commercial developments and refurbishments to major infrastructure works. Working closely with regional and national teams, you'll prepare accurate cost estimates, assess risks, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.

Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations.

Prepare and submit tenders within deadlines.

Identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective solutions.

Support project handovers to ensure smooth transition from estimating to delivery.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of materials, labour rates, and market trends.

About You

Proven experience as an Estimator within the roofing, waterproofing, or wider construction industry.

Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.

Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.

Proficient in MS Office and estimating software.

Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
