Project Manager
A multidisciplinary consultancy based in London is seeking a Project Manager with a Building Surveying background to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who is looking to work across a variety of sectors including residential, education, healthcare, and commercial projects. This position would suit a Project Manager who has previously worked in a consultancy setting and has a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle. The Project Manager will be working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, managing schemes from inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will take a lead role in delivering capital works projects across multiple sectors, supporting senior colleagues while also managing smaller schemes independently. Responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing project programmes, managing cost control, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with contractual and statutory requirements.
This role will involve regular client liaison, chairing meetings, producing progress reports, and ensuring project risks are appropriately managed. The Project Manager will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery standards and support junior team members as required.
The Project Manager
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
Ideally working towards or already Chartered (MRICS, MAPM or similar)
Demonstrable experience in a consultancy environment delivering capital projects
Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness
Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
