They are now seeking to bolster their commercial team with a skilled Quantity Surveyor who can help support continued growth.
About the Role
The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of a portfolio of fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically in the range of £1m to £8m. Working closely with project, design, and procurement teams, this role will ensure commercial control, cost management, and contractual compliance from pre-construction through to project completion.
Main responsibilities include:

Preparation and review of cost plans, bills of quantities, and detailed estimates.

Value engineering and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
*
Contract administration, variations, claims, and change control.
*
Interim valuations, final accounts, and cost reporting.
*
Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and design teams.
*
Risk identification and management of commercial exposure.
*
Ensuring compliance with contractual terms, procurement strategy, and financial governance.

Requirements
*
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the fit-out, refurbishment or interiors sector.
*
Proven track record managing commercial duties on interior or refurbishment projects.
*
Skilled in contract administration (JCT, NEC or equivalent) and variation management.
*
Strong financial acumen, ability to analyse costs, forecast exposure, and mitigate risk.
*
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
*
Degree-level qualification (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Construction Management) or appropriate professional accreditation (e.g. MRICS or working toward).

Proficient with commercial software (e.g. cost estimating tools, MS Excel) and contract documents
