About the Role
The consultancy is seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join its dynamic cost consultancy team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, mitigating risks, and ensuring the successful financial delivery of a wide range of construction projects.
The role involves working collaboratively with project teams, clients, and contractors, supporting the delivery of high-quality developments in sectors such as residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and regeneration.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide cost planning, estimating, and procurement advice throughout all project stages.
* Prepare tender documentation and carry out tender evaluations.
* Administer contracts and manage project finances during the construction process.
* Undertake valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Support senior team members with project management and client liaison.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and professional standards within the team.
Abut the Requirements
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
* MRICS qualification or working towards professional accreditation (desirable).
* Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.
* Proficient in relevant software packages (e.g. Excel, CostX).
