Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Our client, a highly regarded residential developer with a strong pipeline of projects across Essex and Cambridge, is seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their QS career, working alongside experienced professionals on a range of high-quality residential developments from early-stage procurement through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documents

*

Support in the procurement and management of subcontractor packages

*

Attend site meetings and liaise with project teams to monitor progress

*

Carry out valuations, variations, and assist in cost reporting

*

Prepare and process interim valuations and final accounts

*

Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial obligations

The Ideal Candidate

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field

*

1–3 years’ experience in a QS role (ideally residential or housing)

*

Strong numerical and analytical skills

*

Excellent communication and organisational abilities

*

Eager to develop and progress within a dynamic, fast-paced environment

*

Full UK driving licence
